The Ajax Aquatic Club is a privately owned and operated swim club in Durham Region. There is, "No parent volunteering or fundraising required". Just sign-up, train and compete. Our swimmers range from novice to Olympian. The Ajax Aquatic Club -

We are owned and operated by two Professional Swim Coaches; Cathy Gerroir who has run a successful swim school in Durham Region for the past 30 years and Tom McLoughlin who started the swim club in Ajax in 1972.
Our swimmers are divided into 7 distinct groups corresponding to their age, individual skill and ability levels - Junior Shark, Shark, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Gold A & Elite.
Swim Meets are scheduled approximately every 6 weeks (Swim Ontario/Swim Canada sanctioned competitions) locally, provincially, nationally and internationally as achievement dictates; including Invitational, Central Region, Festival, Provincial, Eastern Canadian, Junior National through Senior National and International level meets.
We are pleased to have four former Ajax swimmers and present NCAA swimmers train with the Elite Squad through the Long Course season - Olympian, World Championship, Pan Pacific Championship and Canadian Backstroke Champion, Javier Acevedo along with Ryan Telford, Ryan Kelly and Philip Kay.
Seven Ajax Aquatic Club swimmers competed at the recent Pan Pacific Championship Trials in Edmonton with nine finalists and two swimmers, Kayla Sanchez and Javier Acevedo qualifying to represent Canada at the Pan Pacific Championships in Japan, August 2018.
